Desktop Software Studio

Built deep.
Runs everywhere.

We make focused desktop utilities for macOS and Windows — powerful tools that do one thing exceptionally well and stay out of your way while doing it.

macOS Windows Desktop-native Simple licensing

Independent.
Deliberate.
Proud of the craft.

Deep Root Galaxy is an independent desktop software studio. We don't build suites, ecosystems, or all-in-one platforms. We build individual utilities — each one narrow in scope, deep in capability, and engineered to earn a place in the daily workflow of developers, researchers, and creative professionals.

The name reflects what we stand for: every tool we ship has roots that go deep before the surface ever appears. That means the performance holds under pressure, the edge cases are handled, and the first update doesn't break what the first release got right.

Desktop Built to run on your machine, not in a browser tab
Simple Straightforward licensing with no unnecessary complexity
Lean Designed to stay light and unobtrusive on your system

Three things every tool ships with

One tool, one job

We don't ship Swiss Army knives. Each utility we build is scoped to do exactly one thing — and to do it better than any general-purpose alternative. No bolt-on features, no roadmap bloat, no reason to open a settings panel you didn't mean to.

Fast by default

Performance is a design constraint, not an afterthought. We care deeply about how our tools feel on your machine — snappy to open, light to run, and never the thing eating your battery on a long day.

Yours to keep

We think software licensing should be simple and fair. We aim to keep things straightforward — no unnecessary hoops, no model that turns your tools into a recurring obligation. Buy it, use it, rely on it.

A utility earns its place not by how much it does, but by how precisely it does the one thing you actually need — and how little you have to think about it doing it.

— Deep Root Galaxy founding principle

Got a question or a workflow gap?

Whether you've found a bug, want to know what we're building next, or have an idea for a utility that doesn't exist yet — we read every message. We're a small studio, so you'll hear back from someone who actually works on the software.
